沢尻エリカ主演「ピグマリオン」開幕
2026年1月20日、今年最初の舞台「ピグマリオン」が無事に初日を迎えました。
東京22回公演、名古屋4回公演、北九州4回公演、大阪5回公演の計24日間35回公演。
「マイ フェア レディ」の原作、バーナード・ショーの名作コメディを、
「日本で、沢尻エリカさんの主演で上演するので、音楽を担当して欲しい。」
「今回の演出には音楽がとっても重要なんだ。」
と演出家のニコラス・バーター氏からオファーを貰ったのが約二年近く前。
たゆまない努力を続ける役者さんたち
舞台を支える大勢のスタッフさんたち
絶対的信頼を寄せるミュージシャンたち
初日を迎えると言う尊い時間に深く感謝。

January 20, 2026: The first stage production of this year, “Pygmalion,” successfully opened.Tokyo: 22 performances, Nagoya: 4 performances, Kitakyushu: 4 performances, Osaka: 5 performances. A total of 35 performances over 24 days.

“We’re staging the original work of ‘My Fair Lady,’ Bernard Shaw’s masterpiece comedy, in Japan with Erika Sawajiri starring. We’d like you to handle the music.”

“Music is absolutely crucial for this production.”

That was the offer I received from director Nicholas Bartar nearly two years ago.
